If you‘re looking for new friends to have fun with
in Switzerland, you’ve come to the right place. No
matter what nationality you are, so long as you
speak English, you’ll find a FASC club practically
on your doorstep.
The Anglo-Swiss Club of Basle was founded in 1911
and is the second oldest club in the Federation of
Anglo-Swiss Clubs (after EC Bienne).
The club holds weekly meetings on Thursdays
(fortnightly in the summer), mostly at the
Restaurant Löwenzorn. The programme offers
lectures, slide shows, eating-out evenings, museum
visits, walks in the summer, and games evenings,
either playing daft things like a beetle drive, or
something more serious like Lexicon (both of which
are very popular!). People of all ages and
nationalities are welcome; the only requirement is
that you speak English.
